| The Channeling of the energies of the Gemstone for direction of the
Elemental Forces, or the channeling of energy (the 5th Element, Spirit, or
that of the Channeler) through or about the stone towards a specific purpose
(weather it be focused, like a beam, or otherwise) is what I am searching
for. Not _just_ healing, or New Age approaches to Healing; not to say
that they do not work, and perhaps some of what I search for would be
hidden among the New Age stuff, but I _am_ on a quest for serious
information, knowledge, experiences, etc. This is not meant as an all out
bash or attack at them, however, they tend to rather ignore certin qualities
of Magick, be it with Channeling, Gemstones, or any other things. Often
times those things are the darker side, as if they would believe that they
do not exist. The destructive properties of the Gemstones and their
energies can have quite useful, and posative uses just as their more
happier healing protective powers do. I am in no way wanti. |

As a general reply the transition elements have excitable ions which
move to vibrating states when contacted by light, which is a source of
electro magnetic energy. (Ions of a substance are positioned by electrical
attraction and are effected by certain electro magnetic exposures). Those
vibrations absorb certain wavelengths of light, the remaining wavelengths
being transmitted to the observer as a specific colour.
If you want, I could expand on that further but Im a bit short of time at
the moment.
Transition elements can give rise to quite specific colours when
incorporated into a gemstones atomic lattice.
For example [and in order of atomic number]
22 - Titanium - blue in Sapphire and Benitoite
23 - Vanadium - red/green colour change in synthetic corundum imitating
Alexanrite
24 - Chromium - red or green of the finest hue in Ruby, Emerald, when an
equal balance between red and green occurs in Chrysoberyl the result is
Alexandrite. It is also present in. |

itself; its rarity; its hardness
and toughness; and the skill
with which it has been cut and polished. Stones such as diamonds,
rubies, and emeralds represent one of the greatest concentrations of
money value. During times of war or economic disturbance many people
convert their wealth into precious stones, which are transportable and
more easily sold. |
| Most, if not all of us here, know that all Gemstones have a power of
their own, which can many times pass beyond the white or black area of
definition of Active or Passive, and into a grey area. The Active or
Passive forces do help, of course. I say this, because my question is not
limited to these main areas of explanation. I mean, in my quest for
information, to encompass all known uses of the Gemstones, if not more so
than those (eg; whatever I find in my sensing of the Gemstones). |
